MYTH: Skin should feel tight after cleansing. TRUTH: Tight skin after cleansing is a definite no-no, as it means your skin has been stripped of its natural essential oils and is dry or dehydrated as a result. Tight skin could be a result of hot water, not using the right cleanser for your skin type or over-cleansing.

MYTH: Hot water for washing the face is good. TRUTH: Steaming hot water might feel soothing on your face, but it could actually damage your skin by stripping it of natural oils that keep the protective moisture barrier intact. Water that is too hot can actually dry out your skin.

Top Tip:

If you feel you need to wash your face in the morning, rinse it with Rooibos tea. Rinse your face with Rooibos-infused water after cleansing. Tap water contains harsh chemicals that can dry out, age, and even irritate the skin. Counter this by adding antioxidant and anti-ageing Rooibos and presto! You have a winning formula!
